Selection Procedure for HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024:

The selection process for the Constable (General Duty) post consists of five stages: Written Examination, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. The candidates who qualify in each stage will be eligible for the next stage. The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in the written examination.

The written examination will be conducted in offline mode (OMR-based) and will have 100 multiple-choice questions. The total marks for the written examination are 94.5 and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Syllabus for HSSC Male Constable and Female Constable (General Duty) 2024:

The syllabus for the written examination covers the following subjects:

  •  General Awareness, General Studies, GK of Haryana: This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of current affairs, national and international events, books and authors, sports, discoveries, awards and honors, history, geography, polity, economy, culture, and facts of Haryana.
  • Reasoning: This section will test the candidate’s logical and analytical skills, such as verbal and non-verbal reasoning, coding and decoding, blood relations, directions, syllogism, puzzles, seating arrangements, etc.
  • Maths: This section will test the candidate’s numerical ability, such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, statistics, etc.
  • Computer Knowledge: This section will test the candidate’s basic knowledge of computers, such as hardware, software, operating systems, internet, MS Office, etc.
  • Agriculture: This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of agriculture, such as crops, soil, irrigation, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.
  • Animal Husbandry: This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of animal husbandry, such as breeds, diseases, nutrition, vaccination, etc.
  • General Science: This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of general science, such as physics, chemistry, biology, etc.





The candidates are advised to prepare well for the written examination by covering all the topics mentioned in the syllabus. The candidates can also refer to the previous year’s question papers and mock tests to get an idea of the exam pattern and difficulty level.
