- Start Date for Online Application: April 15, 2024
- Last Date for submission of Application: May 15, 2024
- Last Date for Fee Payment: May 16, 2024

Educational Qualification:
For Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5): Candidates must have passed PUC/ D.El.Ed from a recognized board.
Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8): Candidates should have completed their Degree / D.El.Ed or B.Ed from a recognized board.
Selection Process:
The selection process for Karnataka TET 2024 involves two stages:
- Written Examination: Comprising two papers, the exam tests the pedagogical knowledge and subject expertise of the candidates.
- Certification: Successful candidates are awarded the KARTET certificate, which is a mandatory qualification for teaching positions in Karnataka.
Application Fee:
- For General and OBC categories are required to pay Rs. 700/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1000/- (if applying for both papers).
- For SC/ ST category are required to pay Rs. 350/- for applying Paper 1 or 2 in case applying for both papers the fee is increased to Rs. 500.
- Differently, abled candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
Other Important Details:
- Validity of KARTET Certificate: The KARTET certificate is valid for seven years from the date of issuance.
- Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can make to acquire the KARTET Certificate.
- Language of Examination: The KARTET exam is conducted in multiple languages as per the state’s language policy.
