i). The government has constituted a high power committee to monitor the pricing of medicines and healthcare products. The committee will be headed by a Niti Aayog member (Health).
ii). Andhra Pradesh cabinet has decided to cater 5% reservation each for Kapu community and the economically backward classes (EBCs) among the forward castes. The cabinet approved the decision of doubling the welfare pensions given under the NTR Bharosa Scheme.
iii). Ten years after “26/11”, the Indian Navy commenced the largest coastal defence exercise off the Indian coast. Exercise SEA VIGIL, a first of its kind, is being undertaken along the entire 7516.6 km coastline and Exclusive Economic Zone of India and is involving all the 13 coastal States and Union Territories along with all maritime stakeholders, including the fishing and coastal communities.
iv). The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the following set of approvals. The important Cabinet Approvals are given as follows:
- The Cabinet has approved-
- MoC between India and Japan in the field of Food Processing Industry.
- Extension of Delhi Metro corridor from Dilshad Garden to New Bus Adda Ghaziabad
- MoU between India and Kuwait for cooperation on the Recruitment of Domestic Workers
- Amendment to the ‘Framework on Currency Swap Arrangement for SAARC Member Countries’ to incorporate ‘Standby Swap’ amounting to USD 400 million operated within the overall size of the facility.
- Creation of the National Bench of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT).
v). Omega Healthcare Management Services has signed a pact with IIIT-Bangalore for advanced use of the latest technology in providing healthcare solutions. The MoU is aimed at building industry-grade AI engines that can be embedded as part of Omega’s business solutions to solve healthcare business challenges.
vi). The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), India’s premier container port got listed amongst the top 30 container ports globally, as per the latest Lloyds Report. JNPT notched up five spots, to be 28th on the list, compared to its previous ranking.
vii). The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2019. The awards were presented to 26 shortlisted awardees including one joint award for National Child Award (now renamed as Bal Shakti Puraskar) under the category of innovation, scholastic, sports, art and culture, social service and bravery.
viii). Noted Gujarati poet Sitanshu Yashashchandra has been awarded Saraswati Samman, 2017, for his poetry collection in Gujarati named “Vakhar”. This is the 27th edition of the prestigious award instituted by K.K.Birla foundation.
ix). India has moved up one position to rank 80th on the global talent competitive index but remains a laggard among the BRICS nations.
x). Rishabh Pant was named the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Emerging Player of The Year following an impressive show in India’s first-ever Test series win in Australia.
xi). Mohammed Shami became the fastest Indian bowler to claim 100 ODI wickets, during the first one-dayer against New Zealand at Napier. Shami reached the milestone in his 56th match, with the wicket of opener Martin Guptill.

i). மருந்துகள் மற்றும் சுகாதாரப் பொருட்களின் விலையை நிர்வகிப்பதற்கான ஒரு உயர் மின் ஆணையத்தை அரசு அமைத்துள்ளது. இந்த குழுவில் NITI ஆயோக் உறுப்பினர் (சுகாதார) தலைவராக உள்ளார்.
ii). ஆந்திரா அமைச்சரவை முன்னோக்கி சாதிகள் மத்தியில் Kapu சமூகம் மற்றும் பொருளாதார பின்னோக்கி வகுப்புகள் (EBCs) ஒவ்வொரு 5% இட ஒதுக்கீடு செய்ய முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. என்.டி.ஆர். பாரோசா திட்டத்தின் கீழ் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட நலன்புரி ஓய்வூதியங்களை இரட்டிப்பாக்கும் முடிவை அமைச்சரவை அங்கீகரித்தது.
iii). பத்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பிறகு “26/11”, இந்திய கடற்படை இந்திய கடலோர மிக பெரிய கடலோர பாதுகாப்பு பயிற்சி தொடங்கியது. பயிற்சிக்காக SEA VIGIL, அதன் முதன்மையான, 7516.6 கிமீ கடலோர மற்றும் இந்தியாவின் பிரத்யேக பொருளாதார மண்டலத்தில் நடாத்தப்பட்டு 13 கடலோர மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களை உள்ளடக்கிய மீன்பிடி மற்றும் கடலோர சமூகங்கள் உட்பட அனைத்து கடல்வழி பங்குதாரர்களையும் உள்ளடக்கியுள்ளது.
iv). பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தலைமையிலான மத்திய அமைச்சரவை பின்வரும் ஒப்புதல்கள் வழங்கியுள்ளது. முக்கிய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல்கள் பின்வருமாறு:அமைச்சரவை அங்கீகாரம்-
- உணவு பதப்படுத்தும் தொழில் துறையில் இந்தியா மற்றும் ஜப்பான் இடையே MOC.
- தில்ஷாத் கார்டனில் இருந்து டெல்லி மெட்ரோ வழித்தடத்தை புது பஸ் அடி கஜியாபாத் வரை நீட்டித்தல்.
- உள்நாட்டு தொழிலாளர்கள் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு தொடர்பான ஒத்துழைப்புக்காக இந்தியாவிற்கும் குவைத்திற்கும் இடையில் உள்ள ஒப்பந்தம்.
- SAARC உறுப்பினர் நாடுகளுக்கு ‘நாணய மாற்று பரிமாற்ற கட்டமைப்பின் கட்டமைப்பிற்கான திருத்தம்’, ‘ஸ்டாண்டி பாய் இடமாற்று‘, மொத்தம் 400 மில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டொலர்களுக்கு பொருந்தும்.
- சரக்குகள் மற்றும் சேவைகள் வரி உச்ச நீதிமன்றம் (GSTAT) தேசிய பெஞ்ச் உருவாக்கம்.
v). ஒமேகா ஹெல்த்கேர் மேலாண்மை சேவைகள், IIIT-பெங்களூருடன் ஒரு ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டுள்ளது. சுகாதார வர்த்தக சவால்களைத் தீர்க்க ஒமேகா வணிக தீர்வின் ஒரு பகுதியாக உட்பொதிக்கக்கூடிய தொழில் தர AI இயந்திரங்களை கட்டமைப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
vi). இந்தியாவின் பிரதான கொள்கலன் துறைமுகமான ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு போர்ட் டிரஸ்ட் (JNPT) உலகளாவிய முதல் 30 கொள்கலன்களில் பட்டியலிடப்பட்டுள்ளது, இது சமீபத்திய லாயிட்ஸ் அறிக்கையின் படி. அதன் முந்தைய தரவரிசைகளுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில், JNPT பட்டியலில் 28 வது இடத்தைப் பெற்றது, ஐந்து இடங்களைக் காட்டியது.
vii). இந்திய குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் பிரதான் மந்திரி ராஷ்ட்ரிய பால் புர்ஸ்கர் 2019 க்கு வழங்கினார். விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டது 26 புதுதில்லி விருது பெற்றவர்களுக்கு தேசிய குழந்தை விருது (இப்போது பால் சக்தி புக்கர் என மறுபெயரிடப்பட்டது) புதுமை, கல்வி, விளையாட்டு கலை மற்றும் கலாச்சாரம், சமூக சேவை மற்றும் துணிவு.
viii). குஜராத் கவிஞரான சித்தன்சு யஷஷாச்சந்திர குஜராத்தில் அவரது கவிதை சேகரிப்புக்காக சரஸ்வதி சம்மன்(‘Saraswati Samman’), 2017 விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. K.K.Birla நிறுவனத்தால் வழங்கப்பட்ட கௌரவ விருதுக்கு இது 27 வது பதிப்பாகும்.
ix). இந்தியாவின் முதல் டெஸ்ட் தொடர் ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் ரிசாப் பன்ட் ஆண்டின் சர்வதேச கிரிக்கெட் கவுன்சிலின் (ICC) எலிஜிங் பிளேயர் என்ற பெயரிடப்பட்டது.
x). நியூசிலாந்துக்கு எதிரான முதல் ஒரு நாள் போட்டியில் 100 விக்கெட்டுகளை வீழ்த்திய வேகப்பந்து வீச்சாளர் முகமது ஷமி ஆனார்.
