i). Finance Minister Piyush Goyal presented Interim Budget 2019-20 in Parliament. (Budget highlights will upload soon)

ii). The Defence Acquisitions Council, DAC chaired by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman approved indigenous construction of six submarines worth 40 thousand crore rupees. It is the second project under the Ministry’s ambitious strategic partnership model aiming to boost the government’s Make in India’ program. The first project to get the government’s nod for implementation under the new model was the acquisition of 111 utility helicopters for the Navy at a cost of over 21 thousand crore rupees in August last year.

iii). Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) renamed as Department of promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. The newly named department is under Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

iv). Punjab government approved a rural development scheme” Punjab ‘Smart Village  Campaign” worth Rs 384.40 crore and provide essential amenities. to build village infrastructure. Getting approved by Chief Minister Amarinder  Singh and MGNREGA, Reformation and implementation of the scheme would be financed with funds from the 14th Financial Commission. The SVC is aimed at improving the condition of rural areas by supplementing the ongoing government schemes for building infrastructure and providing essential amenities.

v). Thousands of Iranians gathered at the mausoleum of the Islamic republic’s founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in Tehran to launch celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Iranian revolution.

vi). In Chess, five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand had to be content with a joint third-place finish after settling for a draw with compatriot Vidit Gujrathi in the 13th and final round of the Tata Steel Masters at Wijk Aan Zee, the Netherlands.

i). நிதி மந்திரி பியுஷ் கோயல் பாராளுமன்றத்தில் இடைக்கால பட்ஜெட் 2019-20 வழங்கினார். (பட்ஜெட் சிறப்பம்சங்கள் விரைவில் பதிவேற்றப்படும்)

ii). பாதுகாப்பு மந்திரி நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் தலைமையில் பாதுகாப்பு கையகப்படுத்தல் கவுன்சில், DAC 40 ஆயிரம் கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்புடைய ஆறு நீர்மூழ்கிக் கப்பல்களின் உள்நாட்டு கட்டுமானத்தை அங்கீகரித்தது. அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் இது இந்தியாவின் திட்டத்தில் அரசாங்கத்தின் ஊக்குவிப்பை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட இரண்டாவது திட்டமாகும். கடந்த ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் 21 ஆயிரம் கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் கடற்படைக்கு 111 பயணிகளை ஹெலிகாப்டர்கள் கொள்முதல் செய்வது புதிய மாதிரியின் கீழ் செயல்படுத்தப்படுவதற்கான முதல் திட்டமாக இருந்தது.

iii). தொழில்துறை கொள்கை மற்றும் ஊக்குவிப்பு திணைக்களம் (DIPP) தொழில் மற்றும் உள்நாட்டு வர்த்தகம் மேம்பாட்டு திணைக்களமாக மறுசீரமைக்கப்பட்டது. புதிதாக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட துறை வர்த்தக மற்றும் தொழில் அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் உள்ளது.

iv). பஞ்சாப் அரசாங்கம் ரூ. 384.40 கோடி மதிப்புள்ள கிராம பஞ்சாயத்து திட்டம் “பஞ்சாப் ஸ்மார்ட் கிராம பிரச்சாரம்” மற்றும் தேவையான வசதிகளை வழங்கியது. கிராம உள்கட்டமைப்பை உருவாக்க முதலமைச்சர் அமீர்ந்தர் சிங் மற்றும் MGNREGA ஆகியோரால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டு, திட்டத்தின் சீர்திருத்தம் மற்றும் அமலாக்கம் 14 வது நிதி கமிஷனின் நிதிகளுடன் நிதியளிக்கப்படும். SVC கிராமப்புற பகுதிகளை மேம்படுத்துவதன் மூலம், உள்கட்டமைப்புகளை கட்டமைப்பதற்காகவும், தேவையான வசதிகளை வழங்குவதற்காகவும் தற்போதைய அரசாங்கத் திட்டங்களுக்கு கூடுதலாக உதவுகிறது.

v). ஈரானிய புரட்சியின் 40 வது ஆண்டு விழாவை நடத்த தெஹ்ரானில் இஸ்லாமிய குடியரசின் நிறுவனர் அயத்தொல்லா ருஹொல்லாஹ் கொமேனி சமாதியில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான ஈரானியர்கள் கூடினர்.

vi). சதுரங்கில், ஐந்து முறை உலக சாம்பியனான விஸ்வநாதன் ஆனந்த், மூன்றாவது இடத்தைப் பெற்றார், நெதர்லாந்து அணிக்கு விஜ்கான் ஏன் ஜீயில் டாடா ஸ்டீல் மாஸ்டர்ஸ் 13 வது மற்றும் இறுதி சுற்று போட்டியில் பங்கேற்றார்.
