Thirukkural – திருக்குறள்:

Thiruvalluvar (திருவள்ளுவர்), commonly known as Valluvar, was a celebrated Tamil poet and philosopher. He is best known as the author of the Thirukkural, a collection of couplets on ethics, political and economic matters, and love. The Thirukkural (திருக்குறள்), also known as the Kural (குறள்), is a classic Tamil language text composed of 1,330 seven-word kurals. There are a total of 133 Thirukkural adhikaram. The text is divided into three books with aphoristic teachings on virtue (Aram), wealth (Porul), and love (Inbam), respectively.
