Important Dates for SSC Stenographer Grade C D Examination 2025:

• Dates for submission of online applications: 06-06-2025 to 26-06-2025
• Last date and time for the receipt of online applications is 26-06-2025 (23:00 Hrs)
• Last date and time for making online fee payment: 27-06-2025 (23:00 Hrs)
• Date of ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ and online payment of Correction Charges: 01-07-2025 to 02-07-2025. (23:00 hours)
• Schedule of Computer-Based Examination: 6th Aug to 11th Aug, 2025

Education Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
• Typing & Stenography Skills Required (Tested in Skill Test).

Age Limit(as on 01-01-2025):

• Stenographer Grade D: Min. 18 years and Max. 27 years
• Stenographer Grade C: Min. 18 years and Max. 30 years (check the official notification below for age relaxation).

Selection Procedure:

• Selection is based on two stages:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) (Objective Type)

  2. Skill Test (Dictation & Transcription)

1. CBT Exam Pattern

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Skill Test (Qualifying in Nature)

• Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 wpm (Grade C) / 100 wpm (Grade D).

• Transcription: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi).

Application Fee:

• General/OBC candidates have to pay Rs 100/- (Rs. one hundred only) as an application fee.
• Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of a fee.
