Overview of SSC JE Mechanical Engineering Syllabus:
The SSC JE Mechanical Engineering syllabus is divided into two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in two papers Paper I & II.
- Paper-I & Paper-II will consist of Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions only. The questions will be set both in Hindi & English.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer on Paper I and one (01) mark for each wrong answer on Paper II.
SSC JE Mechanical Engg. Syllabus for Paper I:
Paper I is a Computer Based Examination which is of 200 marks and is of 2 hours duration. A list of topics for the Paper I have given below:
(i) General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 marks)
(ii) General Awareness (50 marks)
(iii) Part-B: General Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (100 marks)
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: This section tests the candidate’s cognitive abilities with questions on analogies, similarities, differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, and discrimination.
- General Awareness: Questions in this section assess the candidate’s knowledge of current events and their scientific implications, as well as history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, and scientific research.
- General Engineering: Part-B (Mechanical Engineering)
