NEET Exam Pattern 2022:

NEET exam (UG) is conducted only in offline mode that is paper and pen mode. The exam is divided into 3 sections that namely physics, chemistry, and biology. Structure of NEET Exam 2022:

There is no change in previous years Exam syllabus but the structure of the NEET Question paper has been changed. Each subject is divided into two sections. Section A will contain 35 Questions and Section B will have 15 questions, out of these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions. Candidates can attend only 180 Questions out of 200 Questions.

Candidates can fill in the application form through the online mode only and no offline mode. Click on the “Apply Online” link and get directed to fill out the application form.

How to fill NEET application form online?

Steps To Apply Online application – NEET 2022:

1st Step: Visit the Official site.

2nd Step: Register by filling in the name, mobile number, email id, and other details.

3rd Step:  Fill out the Registration  Form. (Date of Birth, Category, Nationality, qualification details such as Year of Passing, Percentage of marks, etc, details to contact and choice for the exam center.)

4th Step: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents in the correct size and format only.

5th Step: Fee payment of application can be done through both online and offline modes.

6th Step: At the end, the confirmation window will be opened. Take the Printout of the filled application form for future reference.

Aadhar card is no more a mandate in order to fill the application form.

Once the process is complete Successfully, candidates are provided with a provisional registration number. This number will also be sent to the email id and registered phone number.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2022:

NEET aspirants can check eligibility for NEET 2022 once before applying.


  • Candidates should complete a 12th or an equivalent exam. Candidates appearing for the class 12 exams are also eligible.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English must be the mandate subjects.
  • For General category – 50% marks in the qualifying examinations
  • For SC/ST/OBC category – 40% marks in the qualifying examinations
  • Physically handicapped: General category – 45% marks in the qualifying examinations
  • Physically handicapped: SC/ST/OBC category – 40% marks in the qualifying examinations


  • The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  • If the candidate does not reside in India then he or she should be an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)
  • Foreign Nationals
  • Candidates from the  Jammu and Kashmir state are eligible to appear for NEET 2022 under the All India 15% quota only by self-declaration. Such candidates can also get admitted to AFMC, Pune.

Age Criteria

  • Must have completed 17 years as of December 31, of the year of admission.
  • For the General category, the maximum age limit will be 25 years.
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST & OBC category, the age limit is 30 years.

Aadhar Card Possession for NEET 2022:

Aadhar card is no more a mandate to participate in NEET 2022. Candidates belonging to the state of Meghalaya, Assam, and J&K can furnish ration card numbers, passport numbers, bank account numbers, or any valid ID number while NRI, OCI, PIO, and other foreign nationals can produce their passport numbers for the same.

NEET 2022 Admit Card

Candidates who have successfully registered for NEET 2022 Application form can expect the NEET 2022 admit card to be released on the official website. Some details regarding the same are as follows:

  • NEET Admit Card will be released by the NTA is conducting authority for NEET on their Official Website.
  • Admit cards will be available online mode only. (Note: Admit cards will not be posted)
  • Applicants can expect the admit card to be released in the 2nd or 3rd week of April 2022(Tentative Date)
  • Candidates must take a print of the admit card.
  • Some details on the admit card are – Name of the candidate, Father’s Name, Category, Roll Number, Exam date, Photograph, Reporting time,  Duration of the exam, Venue – exam center and its details.
  • Candidates must carry a copy of the NEET 2022 admit card to the exam hall.
  • Along with releasing admit cards, a format to affix postcard photographs to the admit card shall also be specified.
  • Candidates must contact the official authority for NEET, in case they find any disparity in details on the admit card.

NEET 2022 Results:

Results for NEET Exam 2022 shall be declared by the National Testing Agency(the conducting authority of the NEET exam) on the official website for NEET. The result will be released by the first week of June 2022(Tentative). Candidates must visit the official website and log in with respective credentials to log in and download results. Credentials asked on the result page are roll number and other details. One must download and carry a copy of the same at the counseling process. After the result declaration, NEET 2022 Cut off shall be announced.

NEET Answer Key 2022:

Once NEET 2022 has been conducted, the answer key will be released within a week’s time. The answer key for NEET 2022 shall be released on the official website for NEET by the NTA( the conducting authority of the NEET exam) on the official website for NEET. Along with the answer key, the OMR responses shall also be published via the online mode on the NEET official website.

In case of any contradiction after comparison with the NEET answer key, one can avail the facility of challenging the answer key. One must pay a number of rupees 1000/- per challenge. Typically, the time allotted to challenge is just 2 days.
