Phase I – Preliminary Examination (Online): The Preliminary Examination is an online test comprising of 200 marks with seven tests as follows:
Test of Reasoning – 20 marks
English Language – 40 marks
Computer Knowledge – 20 marks
General Awareness – 20 marks
Quantitative Aptitude – 20 marks
Economic & Social Issues (with focus on Rural India) –40 marks
Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) – 40 marks
The duration of the exam is 120 minutes and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Candidates who qualify and rank sufficiently high as decided by NABARD, shall be called for appearing at the Main Examination.
Phase II – Main Examination (Online): The Main Examination is an online test comprising a mix of MCQ and descriptive pattern with two papers as follows:
Paper-I – General English: (Descriptive – writing skills – online through the keyboard). The paper will have descriptive questions carrying 100 marks. Duration: 1 ½ hrs. The analytical and drafting abilities of the candidate shall be assessed through this paper comprising essay writing, comprehension, report writing, paragraph writing & letter writing.
Paper–II (MCQ): i) For posts as at Sr.No.1 to Sr.No.6 from Table I [Annexure-I] and Sr.No.1 to Sr.No.5 from Table II [Annexure-II]: Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) for 100 marks. Duration: 1 ½ hrs. ii) Paper on related discipline for 100 marks. Duration: 1 ½ hrs.
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in Paper II (MCQ).
Candidates qualifying in the Phase-II Examination and securing a sufficiently high rank in merit shall be shortlisted for interview.
Phase III – Interview: Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II Examination and securing a sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview. The mark for the Interview is 25.
