Celebrating Excellence: The Padma Awards 2025
The Padma Awards, one of India’s highest civilian honors, were announced on the eve of Republic Day 2025. Across a wide range of disciplines, including art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medical, literature and education, sports, and civil service, these esteemed prizes honor outstanding and distinguished service.
The President of India authorized 139 Padma Awards for 2025, including 113 Padma Shri, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 7 Padma Vibhushan. There are 23 female recipients on the list, along with 10 foreigners, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and 13 posthumous honorees. Below is a partial list of the Padma Awards 2025:
