1. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor in the Tiruchirapalli district of Tamil Nadu, with various private and public sector industries announcing an investment of around Rs 3100 crores. This will be the country’s second defence industrial corridor after the first one was launched in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh August last year.

2. Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2019 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar concluded on 20th January. 75 member delegation of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council participated in this Summit. This year the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan & Morocco were the partner countries for the 9th edition of Vibrant Gujarat. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the Vibrant Gujarat international investment summit as a key guest in a first Central Asian country to participate as a country partner in the flagship investment summit of Gujarat.

3. In a first, an exclusive and certified veterinary hospital operating 24×7 was inaugurated at Tiz Hazari, New Delhi. The hospital will focus on issues such as birth control of monkeys, sterilisation of stray dogs, and cow shelter home.

4. The Tripura government has unveiled an official logo for the state’s tea to popularise the beverage and to promote the potentiality of tourism. The logo features Tripura’s iconic landmark, the “Neermahal” which is the largest and one-of-its-kind water palace in India. The palace located around 53 km west of Agartala, was built by then Tripura King Bir Bikram Kishore Debbarman Manikya (1908-1947) in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake, as his summer residence.

5. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar laid the foundation stone of “Haryana Bhawan” at the “Statue of Unity” complex in Kevadiya, Gujarat. The four-storied structure will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 12 crore. Probably Haryana is the first state of the country that has laid the foundation stone for the construction of its statehouse in this complex.

6. India is likely to surpass the United Kingdom in the world’s largest economy rankings in 2019, to become the world’s fifth largest economy, according to a report by global consultancy firm PwC.

7.  Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth arrived in India for a week-long official state visit. Jugnauth is scheduled to participate in the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas 2019 in Varanasi.

1. தமிழ்நாட்டின் திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி மாவட்டத்தில், தமிழ்நாடு பாதுகாப்பு தொழிற்சாலைக் கோபுரத்தை திறந்து வைத்தார் பாதுகாப்பு துறை அமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன். தனியார் மற்றும் பொதுத்துறை தொழில்களில் 3100 கோடி ரூபாய் முதலீட்டை அறிவித்துள்ளார். கடந்த ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்டு மாதம் உத்தரபிரதேசத்தில் அலிகார் நகரில் முதன்முதலில் தொடங்கப்பட்ட பின்னர் நாட்டின் இரண்டாவது பாதுகாப்பு தொழில்துறை நடைமுறை இதுவாகும்.

2. காந்திநகரில் மகாத்மா மந்தரில் 20 ஆம் திகதி ‘வைபிரட் குஜராத்’ உலகளாவிய முதலீட்டாளர்கள் ‘உச்சி மாநாடு 2019’ ஆம் ஆண்டு முடிவடைந்தது. இந்த கூட்டத்தில் காமன்வெல்த் எண்டர்பிரைஸ் மற்றும் முதலீட்டுக் குழுவின் 75 அங்கத்துவ பிரதிநிதிகள் பங்குபற்றினர். இந்த ஆண்டு ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம், உஸ்பெகிஸ்தான் மற்றும் மொரோக்கோ ஆகியவை 9 வது பதிப்பிற்கான பங்குதாரர் நாடுகளாகும்.

3. ‘ஒரு பிரத்யேக மற்றும் சான்றளிக்கப்பட்ட கால்நடை மருத்துவமனையானது 24 × 7’ இயக்ககம் புது தில்லியில் உள்ள திஸ் ஹஸாரியில் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது. குரங்குகளின் பிறப்பு கட்டுப்பாட்டை, தவறான நாய்களின் கொதிநிலை, மற்றும் மாடு தங்குமிடம் வீட்டிலுள்ள பிரச்சினைகள் போன்றவற்றில் மருத்துவமனையில் கவனம் செலுத்தப்படும்.

4. திரிபுரா அரசு பனிக்கட்டியை பிரபலப்படுத்தவும், சுற்றுலாத் திறனை மேம்படுத்தவும் அரச தேயிலைக்கு ஒரு அதிகாரப்பூர்வ சின்னத்தை வெளியிட்டது. இந்த சின்னத்தில், திரிபுராவின் அடையாள சின்னமாக விளங்கும் “நீர்மஹால்” இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய மற்றும் ஒரு வகையான குடிநீர் கோபுரமாகும். அகர்தலாவுக்கு மேற்கே சுமார் 53 கிமீ தொலைவில் அமைந்துள்ள இந்த அரண்மனை அப்போதைய திரிபுரா மன்னர் பிர் பிக்ராம் கிஷோர் தேபர்பர்மன் மானிக்யா (1908-1947) ருத்ராசாகர் ஏரியின் நடுவில் கட்டப்பட்டது.

5. ஹரியானா முதலமைச்சர் மனோகர் லால் கத்தாரின் குவாடியாவில் “ஒற்றுமை சிலை” என்ற இடத்தில் “ஹரியானா பவன்” அடித்தளத்தை அமைத்தார். ரூ. 12 கோடி மதிப்பீட்டில் நான்கு அடுக்கு மாடி கட்டடம் கட்டப்படும். ஹரியானா மாநிலத்தின் முதல் மாநிலமாக இது அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த வளாகத்தின் கட்டட அமைப்பிற்கான அஸ்திவாரம் கட்டியிருக்கிறது.

6. உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய பொருளாதாரம் தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலில் இந்தியா ஐந்தாவது மிகப்பெரிய பொருளாதாரம் என உலக வர்த்தக மையமான PwC தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

7. மொரிஷியஸ் பிரவீன் குமார் ஜுக்நாத் பிரதம மந்திரி ஒரு வார காலம் உத்தியோகபூர்வ விஜயத்தை இந்தியாவுக்கு வந்தார். வாரணாசியில் பிரபுசி பாரதீய திவாஸ் 2019 இல் ஜுக்நொத் பங்கேற்க திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
