GATE Exam 2020 – Notification, Exam Date and Other Important Details:

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India level entrance exam jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven IITs (Delhi, Bombay, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Roorkee and Madras). GATE has released a notification to select candidates for admission into the IITs and IIS. GATE Exam 2020, including eligibility criteria, selection procedure, application fee, how to apply and important dates, are given below:

Important Dates:
Starting Date of Online Application: 03-09-2019
Last Date of Online Application: 24-09-2019
Date of Examination: 01 to 02-02-2020 and 08 to 09-02-2020

Eligibility Criteria for GATE Exam 2020:
For B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm: Candidates appearing in the final year or completed Bachelor’s Degree Holders in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after Diploma in Engineering/Technology).

For B.Arch: Candidates appearing in the final year or completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (5-year course)

For B.Sc.(Research)/B.S: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Post-Diploma/4 years after 10+2)

For M.Sc./M.A./M.C.A. or equivalent: Master’s Degree in any of the streams Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Applications or equivalent.

For Foreign Candidates: Should have completed or be in the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree (duration: at least 4 years) in Engineering/Technology OR must have completed or be in the final year of their Post Graduate (Master’s) Degree (duration: at least 2 years) in any relevant subject in science.

Selection Process: Selection basis on Written Examination.

Application Fee: General/UR Candidates has to pay Rs.1500 and SC/ST/PWD/ Female Candidates have to pay Rs.750 as Exam Fee. Candidates can pay through Online mode using Net-banking/Credit or Debit Card.
