• Admit Card Release: October 2025
• Date of Examination TNTET Paper I: 01-11-2025 FN (Tentative)

Eligibility Criteria

For TNTET Paper-I (Classes I-V):

Educational Qualification:

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed)

For TNTET Paper-II (Classes VI-VIII):

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) OR
• B.Sc/ B.A/ B.Com with 50% marks and B.Ed / D.El.Ed

(Relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per government norms.)

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025):

• Min. 18 years.

Selection Process:

• Paper-I: For Primary Teachers (Classes I-V)
• Paper-II: For Upper Primary Teachers (Classes VI-VIII)

Examination Fee:

• Candidates must pay an examination fee of Rs. 600/- for each application.
• For SC, SCA, ST, and Differently Abled Persons, the examination fee is Rs. 300/- for each application.
